Industry customers
The Onsite app implements a complete, cost-efficient, digital safety system for single-residential, multi-residential and commercial construction projects, complying with WHS Regulations, the Construction work code of practice, and Federal Safety Commissioner audit criteria.
Contractor and worker records are stored in the Certify Network database where they are shared with other builders and projects, to avoid duplication of administrative effort and ensure that compliance records are accurate and up to date.
Residential builders
As builders cannot always be on site at a single residential project, they must rely on the subcontractor to directly manage the risks associated with the subcontractor’s own work and the activities of any worker they engage to carry out the work. The Onsite app provides the following functions to record and manage that arrangement:
-
Prequalify subcontractors using an online Period Subcontract Agreement
-
Request, review, and approve generic SWMS applicable to all projects
-
Conduct online inductions of workers linked to approved SWMS
-
Assign subcontractors to specific projects
-
Record site attendance using a QR code or GPS
-
Conduct site inspections for safety and defects
-
Manage corrective action requests relating to hazards, incidents, non-compliance, and defects
Multi-residential and commercial builders
Project managers and site supervisors are responsible for managing the safety risks of residential and commercial projects. They must approve site-specific SWMS provided by contractors and ensure that work is carried out in accordance with approved SWMS. They must also ensure that every worker completes a site-specific induction. The Onsite app provides the following functions to record and manage projects:

-
Request, review, and approve site-specific SWMS
-
Conduct site-specific induction of workers linked to approved SWMS
-
Review and approve site-specific inductions completed by workers
-
Record site attendance using a site QR code or GPS
-
Record toolbox talk attendance using a toolbox talk QR code or GPS
-
Maintain registers of permits, inspections, plant and equipment, SDS, electrical test and tag
-
Manage corrective action requests relating to hazards, incidents, non-compliance and defects
Contractors
Contractors who employ subcontractors have the same compliance and safety obligations as builders. Subcontractors and their employees should be qualified before they start work on a construction project or provide trade and field services to customers.
The Onsite app prequalifies subcontractors using an online subcontract agreement that should complement the terms and conditions of a customer agreement. Employees are qualified using an online induction that records trade qualifications and ensures they have read and understood approved subcontractor SWMS.
The Onsite app may also be used by supervisors to conduct inspections and issue corrective action requests to manage hazards, incidents, non-compliance and defects. And the Onsite app can readily integrate with field service management software to manage customers.
